SABRINA

I work as Senior Heritage Consultant in Artefact’s Interpretation Team, focusing on the preparation of Heritage Interpretation and Public Art strategies and plans, as well as the development of unique and tailored interpretive concepts, designs and solutions for places and objects of heritage significance.

As part of my role I liaise with heritage specialists, Aboriginal and community stakeholders, artists, local and state government agencies, and corporate clients on a variety of projects to enhance the public’s understanding and appreciation for heritage sites and to enable them to creatively explore the stories of heritage places through a range of engaging digital and physical media.

My most recent focus has been on developing arts and interpretation projects that enhance understanding and engagement with climate action.

In 2021 I received the Alan Sisley Memorial Fellowship for my research and contribution to environmental sustainability stewardship within the NSW gallery and museum sector, promoting a holistic approach of cross-disciplinary research involving communities as creative leaders of social change and sustainable practices.

MY ARTEFACT

My artefact is a roman coin pendant, given to me by my father when I first left home to live in Spain at the age of 17. It was meant to protect me and bring me good luck, and I have treasured it ever since.
